Nina Lexa posted a Firestorm Viewer tips video in the Second Life – Virtual world group I manage. Her video is to the point and helpful, so I asked if I could share it here.
You’ll need chat bar commands enabled for these – it should be by default, unless you’ve turned it off.
There’s a whole bunch of other commands at Preferences > Chat > CmdLine, which you can also change to any trigger you want. Some are more useful than others, such as teleporting and changing music streams. Some people prefer using commands, rather than menus, and you could even set up gestures to trigger them!
Whilst we’re on the chat preferences, one thing I can’t do without is Keyword Alerts – I’ve set up a keyword for ‘seren’, so if my name is mentioned in chat, I get an audible prompt and the text comes up in a different colour. Great if lots of people are chatting and you don’t want to miss someone addressing you!
