A few years ago I logged into Second Life only to discover someone was furious because they believed I was talking about them in an article I wrote.
The truth? I wasn’t thinking of them at all. I even gave my word I wasn’t, but this individual was upset with me for about a week!
On another occasion, one woman admitted that every time I posted an opinion piece she felt I was having a personal dig at her. Again, it was someone who never crossed my mind.
The irony? I do have specific people in mind when I write articles sometimes, but those individuals rarely pick up on it. If they do, they pretend they don’t notice!
